Why it's called Sita's House
A letter from our founder is coming soon. It will tell who Sita is, why this house exists, and why the path runs through the building trades to owning a home.

Sita's House walks with adults who have survived trafficking or abuse, and with young people 14 to 24 facing the same dangers. First a safe home, then hands-on training in the building trades, then a house of their own.
Healing doesn't keep a schedule, so nobody is rushed from one stage to the next.
A safe place to stay, and people who stay too.
A home with house parents, counseling, and the ordinary things that rebuild a life: meals at a shared table, a door that is yours to close, a week that belongs to you.
Learn a trade from people who do it for a living.
Carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC, taught on real job sites by tradespeople who volunteer. Certifications along the way, and help landing paid work.
A home with your name on it.
Savings plans, credit coaching and a path to buying a house. Sometimes it is one you helped build.
If you're 18 or older and ready for a fresh start somewhere safe, we'd like to hear from you. You don't need to have everything figured out first.
If home isn't safe, or someone is pushing you into things you didn't choose, there is a path for you too. Before you tell us anything, we'll explain what stays private and what the law asks adults to report for anyone under 18.
Every apprentice needs someone who will hand them the right tool and explain why. That could be you, your church, or your company.
Everyone who works alongside young people completes a background check and safety training first.
Volunteer sign-up opens soonRecovery and an apprenticeship both take time. A monthly gift lets the house plan a year ahead instead of a week at a time.
Sita's House is completing its nonprofit filings. We'll post our tax status here before we accept a single gift.
